Oil Painting Demo: Pink Peony

This oil painting demonstration that touches on some of my favorite tricks and tools of the trade for painting nature, florals, and foliage. I’ll introduce you to my pigments and walk you through my color mixing methodology (particularly for working with varied, saturated, and complex reds), give you a taste of my layering process, and talk about some of the logistical aspects of working with leaf and petal shapes (drawing, sighting, brush control).
